Infrastructure charges help to fund some of the cost to construct major infrastructure in the region such as major water mains, sewerage treatment plant upgrades and regional parks. The charges are payable by developers to contribute for their use of these major items. In order for Council to levy infrastructure charges, an Infrastructure Charges Resolution is required to be adopted by Council.
In accordance with the Planning Act 2016, an Infrastructure Charges Resolution was adopted at Council’s Ordinary Meeting held Wednesday, 22 November 2017, and commenced on Thursday, 23 November 2017.
